Dr. John D. Bertrand has been practicing medicine and providing the best in women’s healthcare for more than 30 years. He has been named among the Best Doctors in Dallas by D Magazine annually since 1992. Dr. Bertrand’s patients not only appreciate his knowledge and skill, but his genuine care for their complete well-being.
Dr. Bertrand has chaired more than a thousand courses, lectures, proctorships and externships and has authored ten presentations for the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) and American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL). He has spoken at conferences on behalf of leading pharmaceutical and medical manufacturing companies such as Warner Chilcott, Hologic, Ethicon Endosurgery, and Ferring. Dr. Bertrand works specifically in the areas of urogynecology, operative laparoscopy, operative hysteroscopy, surgery for pelvic relaxation and prolapse, and infertility. He holds hospital appointments at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas and Parkland Memorial Hospital.
A native of Waco, Texas, Dr. Bertrand and his wife Andrea, a Registered Nurse, are parents to 13 children: nine daughters and four sons. Dr. Bertrand enjoys spending time with his children and grandchildren, cycling, pilates, boating and skiing.
